Amerisafe Group is a national, full service safety consulting, staffing and training company. Our staff of highly trained and professional safety consultants have proven experience in developing safety management programs for all types of industries such as petro-chemical refining, wind energy, power utilities, steel, manufacturing and new construction.

Amerisafe Group is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team! This person is an organized, self-starter with experience in an administrative role. The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment is key. The position will be a full time position, during general business hours (8:00am - 4:30pm). The qualified candidate will be supporting 2 executive level professionals along with our traveling safety consultants. The positions responsibilities include:

  • Calendar maintenance on Microsoft Outlook
  • Travel Arrangements-Domestic: Coordinate flight, hotel and vehicle rental; advise employees on travel-related requirements. Monitors active travel to ensure all arrangements are executed as arranged or needed.
  • Correspondence
  • Assistance with marketing materials
  • Track and arrange shipping for employee's equipment
  • Monitor and report charges to corporate credit card
  • Assist with organizing new employee files
  • Identify and coordinate vendors for marketing/promotional items
  • Light accounting responsibilities
  • Track employee birthday and anniversaries within company
  • Organize company events, such as tailgates, parties, trade shows and more
  • General office responsibilities (Fax, Copy, Scan File)

The requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree Preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally supporting executive level professionals and scheduling travel
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability work under pressure with a detail-oriented and cohesive team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Strong follow up and organization skills
